What is a Conference?
Conferences are parish based groups of 5-50 laymen and women who seek to grow spiritually by becoming personally involved in helping the poor in their communities. Conference members, called Vincentians, provide direct services and referrals to poor and needy individuals and families.
In the parish, Conferences work closely with their pastor and congregation to serve people in need. Conferences obtain funding through regular and special collections in the parish, fundraising activities, and Vincentian member contributions. Each Conference decides what programs and services it will offer based on the needs in the local area.
